Farmers and Politics in France
The original publication upon which this book is based was entitled “Les agriculteurs et la politique”, published in 1990 by Presses de la Fondation Nationale des Sciences Politiques, Paris, and has been translated and edited by Michael Tracy. The papers translated here result from a conference of the most eminent French agricultural economists and political scientists. They include: Hélène Delorme, Pierre Coulomb, Bertrand Hervieu, Philippe Lacombe and Marcel Jollivet. The publication will be of interest to economists and administrators concerned with agricultural policy and trade issues, and also to political scientists, sociologists and historian, especially those concerned with French politics or with pressure-group politics.
